Encouraging faculty members to pursue M. Phil, Ph. D and carrying out research projects.
We have a system of pre-class reading where in the student must read the material and faculty will have an unannounced quiz on that material.
Detailed course handouts including the session plan and learning outcomes are given to the students before the commencement of each semester.

WASS which stands for Weekly Afternoon Seminar Series is an initiative started at the Presidency Business School which is a Faculty Development Initiative which encourages the MBA faculty to make presentations on research topics in their area of interest. The topic may be related to their core specialization area or of an area of general interest. The objective is to enlighten the other faculty members on varied topics and encourage fruitful discussion and debate. Another major objective is to provide a forum for rehearsal of their final presentations to be made in front of an external audience where the research paper being sent to a conference or for publication in a journal.
The way that WASS functions is that each week one member of the MBA faculty will make a presentation. The faculty will sign up for the topic and day of delivery of the presentation at the beginning of each semester. WASS sessions are usually conducted either on Wednesday afternoons or Thursday afternoons at 3:30 p.m.
Presidency Business School has launched an in-house caselet series where every faculty prepare case studies and caselets with relevant questions at the end. Our experienced faculty convert the live projects into cases or caselets some of which are drawn from their vast corporate experiences. These cases are then analysed and solved in the classroom.
At Presidency Business School, we have started working paper series from 2013 where faculty first present their pre- publication work in the form of working papers.
A working paper is a pre-publication version of a research papers, academic articles, book reviews etc.. The purpose of a working paper is that it is an early draft version which is reviewed by the peer faculty in the MBA department. This is a very good forum for improvement before the paper is submitted for publication in a journal or as an academic publication.
