Psychonauts – the Psychology Club of Presidency College (Autonomous) (Re accredited by NAAC with A+ Grade), aims to provide a platform to address issues related to mental health by generating awareness and seeking solutions. It is managed by the enthusiastic students of the Psychology stream of Centre for Media Studies. The Club conducts activities to orient students towards psychological wellbeing which facilitates a better understanding of the self and the environment.
Every year it conducts ‘Psychology Day’ with unique themes that address issues related to mental health and awareness. One of the most exclusive activities was the ‘Pride Parade’ which was hosted to sensitize students on gender and sexual diversity.
Stress management and mindfulness are encouraged through activities like art and music therapy.
The members are also exposed to hands-on training through various workshops like Transactional Analysis, EFT, Anger Management, and Body Language which helps in self-realization and self-actualization.
Psychology club is also pivotal in taking initiative in conducting enriching social experiments like Expressing Gratitude, Body Image, and Self–Concept.
It is committed to its mission of achieving and making metal wellbeing an integral part of our lives and is always abuzz with enriching activities and endeavors to make psychology a purpose.
