Presidency College (Autonomous) (NAAC reaccredited with A+ grade) leaves no stone unturned to sensitize the students about the social issues faced by the people at large.
Human Rights Club is one such club which began its journey in the year 2008 and has a tag line “Live right with your rights”. It helps our students to go beyond all social discriminations and selflessly build a better society through them.
Several guest lectures delivered by eminent speakers are conducted regularly on a myriad of topics which serve as an eye opener for the students.

In Feb 2020 a guest lecture on HIV+ve and AIDS helped the students understand its myth and reality. Social outreach programmes take the students out of the campus where they face the reality. Visits to old age homes, orphanages, HIV infected patients and children with special needs helped students understand the importance of humanity towards our society.
