CAMPUS LIFE / August 22, 2026

On 22 August 2026, Presidency College, Hebbal hosted India Global Education Dialogues 2026 with NISAU UK, the National Indian Students and Alumni Union. Representatives of more than 14 UK universities spent the day on campus, giving students a direct line to international education and new academic pathways.

University teams set up stalls in the college atrium, where students could talk to admissions staff face to face and ask about courses, campuses and life in the UK. Universities taking part included the University of Portsmouth, Bournemouth University, the University of York and Brunel University of London. "I have met some really good students looking at tech courses, especially AI and ML, which we are quite popular for," said a representative of the University of Portsmouth.

Roundtable with UK universities
University representatives also sat down at a roundtable to discuss how Presidency and UK institutions can work together. "I see a lot of potential," said a representative of the University of York, "and I'm quite eager to see where the roundtable discussion takes the bridge between University of York and Presidency College forward." A Bournemouth University representative added: "Being in the UK, there are a lot of things that we can let them know about, what is possible, what's not possible."

The main session
The main session opened with the traditional lighting of the lamp and included a panel discussion with Ms. Sanam Arora, Founder and Chair of NISAU, in front of a packed auditorium of Presidency students.

For many of the delegates, it was their first visit to Presidency College. "It's an honour for me to be invited here," said one. "Glad to see the campus, glad to see the numbers that are here." At Presidency, we don't just prepare students for the future; we bring the future closer to them.
